A strong assistant is still not a decision record

Claude, from Anthropic, is a general-purpose assistant. People use it to write, analyze, and discuss tradeoffs. Argumont uses models as a means, not as the product. The product is the structured contest and the stored verdict.

Fair praise

A capable assistant can help you list objections and draft a memo. That work has value. It does not, by itself, create inspectable criterion scores or an appeal designed to overturn a verdict.

Product difference

Argumont never permanently maps a brand of model to a role such as advocate or judge. Roles are product concepts. Providers are interchangeable behind a server-side abstraction.

You should not see chain-of-thought. You should see arguments, challenges, evidence summaries, risks, and score impact.
