Privacy Policy

We may collect the following categories of information.

When you create an account, we collect information such as your email address, password hash, optional account or workspace information, and information needed to authenticate and administer the account.

We collect the information you submit while using Argumont, including questions, options, objectives, preferences, constraints, criteria, facts, evidence, corrections, comments, images or other supported uploads, participant-directed messages, and Outcomes.

Argumont generates and stores information related to the analysis, which may include structured Decision information, claims, challenges, research queries, evidence summaries, evidence evaluations, risks, scenarios, revisions, concessions, scores, confidence assessments, Verdicts, and Challenge the Verdict records.

If you purchase a paid plan, payment information is processed by Stripe.

Argumont may receive and store billing information such as Stripe customer identifiers, subscription identifiers, plan, subscription status, billing-period dates, and transaction-related status.

Argumont does not store full payment-card numbers.

We may collect information about how the service is used, such as timestamps, Decision type, Decision Credit usage, application events, request metadata, browser or device information, IP address, and operational logs needed to operate, secure, diagnose, and improve the service.

If you contact Argumont, we may collect your name, email address, company information, subject, and message contents.

We use information to provide and operate Argumont, authenticate users, maintain private workspaces, structure and analyze Decisions, run participant conversations, research relevant evidence, generate and maintain analytical records, produce Verdicts, process subscriptions and Decision Credits, provide support, detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents, debug and improve reliability, enforce our Terms and policies, comply with legal obligations, and protect our users, Argumont, and third parties.

Argumont uses third-party AI service providers to perform portions of the requested analysis.

Relevant portions of Decision Content may be transmitted to those providers in order to generate analytical output.

The provider or model used can vary based on the task and product configuration.

Argumont does not operate a program that trains a proprietary Argumont foundation model on private customer Decision Content.

The processing practices of third-party service providers are governed by the applicable service terms, data-processing terms, and account configuration.

When research is used, Argumont may send search terms or requests to external information services and retrieve information from publicly available sources.

External websites and information services have their own privacy practices.

We may disclose information to the following categories of recipients when reasonably necessary.

We use vendors that provide services such as cloud infrastructure, AI processing, payments, email, security, and other technical operations.

These providers may process information on our behalf or as otherwise described in their applicable terms.

We may disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or valid governmental requests, or to protect the rights, property, security, and safety of Argumont, our users, or others.

If Argumont is involved in a financing, acquisition, merger, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, information may be disclosed as part of diligence and transferred as part of the transaction, subject to applicable law.

We may disclose information when you direct or authorize us to do so.

Argumont does not sell private Decision Content.

As of the Effective Date, Argumont does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

The public site does not use private Decision Content to target third-party advertising.

If these practices change, this Privacy Policy must be updated before the new use begins where required by law.

Argumont may use cookies and similar browser technologies that are necessary to operate the website and application.

These technologies may be used to:

• maintain authentication and user sessions;
• protect accounts and prevent abuse;
• preserve essential preferences;
• support billing or account workflows;
• and operate core application functionality.

Argumont may also use browser storage or similar technologies where necessary for application functionality.

If Argumont introduces non-essential analytics, advertising, or other tracking technologies in the future, this Privacy Policy and any required consent or preference controls will be updated accordingly.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain the user's Decision history, meet legitimate operational needs, maintain security, prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, maintain financial records, and comply with law.

Retention periods can vary depending on the category and purpose of the information.

Users can request account deletion through Settings.

Deleting an account is intended to remove the user and associated workspace data from the active product database.

Limited records may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, financial recordkeeping, dispute resolution, legal obligations, or backup integrity.

Argumont uses technical and organizational measures intended to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request access, request correction, request deletion, request a portable copy, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, appeal certain privacy decisions, opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising where applicable, and submit a complaint to a privacy regulator.

Because Argumont does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there may be no sale or targeted-advertising activity to opt out of.

Authorized agents may submit requests where applicable law allows.

Argumont is operated from the United States and uses service providers that may process information in the United States or other countries.

If you access Argumont from another jurisdiction, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data-protection laws differ from those where you live.

Where required, Argumont will use appropriate mechanisms for international transfers.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, Argumont may process personal information to perform a contract with you, including providing the service you request; for legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention, reliability, support, and service improvement; to comply with legal obligations; or with your consent where consent is required.

You may withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, without affecting processing already performed lawfully.

Argumont is intended for adults.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an Argumont account.

We do not knowingly collect personal information through accounts belonging to children under 18.

If you believe a person under 18 has created an account or submitted personal information, contact us.

Decision Content may contain information supplied by users.

Do not submit highly sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for the Decision, you are authorized to disclose it, and your use complies with applicable law.

Argumont should not be used to infer protected or highly sensitive characteristics about individuals for unlawful or discriminatory purposes.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service, law, or our practices change.

We will update the "Last updated" date when we make changes.
