Decision intelligence for life sciences

Published 23 September 2026

Life sciences organizations allocate resources across research programs, manufacturing capacity, suppliers, and technology. Argumont structures those consequential choices around evidence, competing perspectives, and explicit assumptions, preserving the reasoning for the next portfolio review.

Preserve the evidence, assumptions, decisions, and outcomes behind each portfolio commitment.

Decisions across the portfolio

Compare the investments and operational commitments that shape the organization's next stage.

Verified evidence, assumptions, and the trail between them

A portfolio review mixes measured results, management estimates, and hopes about a market. Argumont can keep verified evidence distinct from assumptions the team has not checked. An AI-generated inference stays labeled as analysis. Material uncertainty that nobody resolved stays on the record instead of disappearing into a recommendation.

Months later, a reader can trace why a program was advanced, which alternative was rejected, and which uncertainties remained when resources were committed. The record preserves both the analysis and the organization's final choice.

How a portfolio Decision is framed

Name the programs, the manufacturing or supplier constraint, and the question the organization is actually answering. Champion makes the strongest case for the leading program using the evidence in hand. Challenger attacks the load-bearing assumption, including a timeline that only works if a study reads out on the slide date. Inspector separates a published source from a slide that cites it loosely. Judge returns a Verdict. People record the Human Decision.

Challenge the Verdict when new evidence arrives and keep the earlier reasoning available for comparison.

Keep evidence connected to the investment

A manufacturing investment can depend on capacity estimates, supplier reliability, demand expectations, and the timing of another program. Put those dependencies beside the alternatives. Inspector checks material claims, while Challenger tests how the preferred path holds up if a key assumption changes.

Carry the evidence and remaining uncertainty into the portfolio review. Record the organization's decision, approvals, and conditions so later reviewers can reconstruct the commitment and the information available when it was made.

Explore evidence provenance

Reassess as the portfolio changes

A study result, supplier delay, or revised cost estimate can change the strongest option. Reopen the Decision with the new information, examine the competing cases again, and preserve the reasons for advancing, pausing, or redirecting the investment.

Example

Advance one development program, fund a manufacturing line, or keep both at the current spend. Mark which efficacy or cost figures are user-provided, which were checked, and which remain assumptions. If the Verdict favors the line and leadership makes the investment conditional on a quality review, record that condition alongside the choice and its reasoning.
