ARGUMONT PARTICIPANTS
Different analytical functions. One Decision.
Argumont Participants are specialized analytical roles within the Decision Intelligence Engine. Each Participant has a defined responsibility, such as challenging claims, investigating evidence, testing risk, examining framing, or reaching Judgment.
Champion
Position Advocate
Builds the strongest evidence-based case for a serious option and defends it against challenge.
Challenger
Critical Challenge
Tests assumptions, weak claims, contradictions, and reasoning that has not been earned.
Strategist
Decision Framing
Tests whether the Decision is framed correctly and whether a stronger alternative, objective, or path has been missed.
Scout
Research
Investigates current facts, external information, and evidence that could materially change the Decision.
Inspector
Evidence Review
Determines whether the available evidence actually supports the claims being made.
Wolf
Risk & Fragility
Looks for hidden dependencies, downside, lock-in, fragility, and Failure Modes that other Participants may overlook.
Red Teamer
Adversarial Stress Test
Actively tries to break a position through realistic adverse scenarios after a material weakness has been identified.
Grandfather
Practical Judgment
Tests whether the Decision still makes sense when cost, time, reversibility, durability, and long-term value are considered.
Contrarian
Opposing Case
Assumes the apparent leading conclusion may be wrong and constructs the strongest serious case against it.
Judge
Final Judgment
Reviews the completed Decision record, determines what survived challenge, and issues the Verdict.
Champion is option-specific inside a Decision. This page shows one representative Champion portrait.
Assembled for the Decision.
Argumont assembles the Participants the Decision requires.
Not every Participant appears in every Decision.
The roles involved depend on what the Decision needs: evidence, challenge, risk, alternatives, or Judgment.
Ordinary comparisons often open with Champion, Challenger, Inspector, Wolf, and Judge.
Strategist, Scout, Red Teamer, Grandfather, and Contrarian enter when the Decision requires them.

In a Decision, each serious option receives its own Champion.

Evidence, challenge, risk, and Judgment.
The Participant system exists to support Decision Intelligence, not to display a roster for its own sake.
Claims can be challenged.
Evidence can change the record.
Risk can reduce confidence.
Judge goes last.
The result is an inspectable Verdict, not a collection of opinions.
