DECISION AUDIT TRAIL

An audit trail is the Decision, not the transcript.

An enterprise audit trail for Decisions has to answer who decided, on what evidence, against which alternatives, with what dissent, and with whose approval. A chat log does not do that job.

Decision Evidence Flow A claim is tied to a source, given an evidence status, challenged, then revised, conceded, or left standing before it can affect the Decision.
  1. Claim
  2. Source
  3. Evidence status
  4. Challenge
  5. Revision / Concession / Survives
  6. Effect on the Decision
  • Government or public authority may verify an exact factual claim when the source actually states that fact.
  • Other external evidence may support, qualify, or contradict a claim. A source existing is not the same as the claim being supported.
  • User-provided stays user-provided unless independently checked.
  • Argumont reasoning is inference, not a source.

What a later reviewer should be able to see

Who opened the Decision, who contributed, what evidence existed, what was challenged, what changed, what risks remained, what the AI Verdict said, who made the Human Decision, why they overrode it if they did, who approved it, and what happened later.

How this differs from the Learn article

The Learn page teaches why a trail is not a meeting memory. This page is the enterprise object: provenance from claim to approval to Outcome, kept on a private Decision record.

How Inspector and Judge appear on the trail

Inspector keeps source status on the claim. Challenger leaves the attack that changed a position. Judge leaves a versioned Verdict. A later Challenge the Verdict creates a new analytical version instead of silently editing the first.

Private Decision records are not public URLs

Private Decision records are not public URLs. A later reviewer should be able to see Champion and Challenger cases, Inspector status, the versioned Verdict, the Human Decision, and the Outcome without reconstructing a chat.

Champion and Challenger test the case, Inspector checks the evidence, and Judge records the Verdict for the Decision Owner.

Bring Argumont a Decision worth challenging.

Structure the question, test the evidence and the assumptions, and preserve what your organization ultimately decides.
