ARGUMONT FOR RECRUITING

Hiring decisions with a record behind them

Recruiting and talent teams make expensive commitments on thin evidence and a strong interview feeling. Argumont helps a hiring team compare finalists, challenge what a candidate and a reference actually established, and preserve the reasoning in a Decision Passport the panel can inspect later.

Argumont is structured decision support for hiring teams. It does not screen or select candidates automatically and does not replace the employer's lawful hiring process.

Compare finalists on more than a good conversation

A senior hire is a multi-year commitment that affects a team, a roadmap, and a budget. Argumont organizes the role, the shortlist, the criteria, and the evidence so a panel reviews the same comparison instead of separate impressions formed in separate rooms.

  • Senior and executive hires with a long tail of cost
  • Build the team internally, hire externally, or use a staffing partner
  • Two strong finalists who interviewed with different panels
  • Contract, contract-to-hire, or full-time for the same need
  • Replace a departed leader or restructure the role

Keep candidate claims labeled as claims

An interview produces assertions: a tech stack the candidate says they ran, a result they say they drove, a reference who says they were excellent. A confident answer is not a verified one. Inspector keeps a claimed accomplishment separate from a checked one, and Scout looks for what can actually be corroborated.

Where a claim is load-bearing, name it. If the strongest reason to hire someone rests on a project they described but no one confirmed, that gap is a specific question for the reference call, not a footnote lost in a scorecard. Challenge the Verdict when a reference or work sample changes the comparison.

Give the debrief a portable record

The Decision Passport brings together the role, the finalists, the panel's reasoning, the evidence behind material claims, the open questions, and the recorded human decision. Export it as a PDF for the hiring committee and keep it with the requisition.

Record who made the offer decision and on what conditions, separately from the analytical Verdict. When a hire underperforms or a panel is later asked why a candidate was chosen, the record shows the reasoning that existed at the time rather than a story reconstructed afterward.

Where the limits are

It structures the human decision and keeps the evidence honest. The hiring team owns a lawful, fair process and the final offer.

Use it on a shortlist the team has already assembled through its normal sourcing. Equal-opportunity obligations, background-check rules, and local employment law stay with the employer and its counsel. A Verdict informs the panel; it does not make the hire.

Put the reasoning behind the offer on the record

Structure the question, test the evidence and the assumptions, and preserve what your organization ultimately decides.
