Secure decisions

A secure decisions platform.

A secure decisions platform protects two things: the data a decision is made from, and the reasoning that made it. Most tools guard the first and lose the second.

What it is.

A place where consequential decisions are made, checked and kept.

A secure decisions platform is where an organization takes a decision that is costly and hard to reverse: a core vendor, a security exception, a new market, a large commitment of capital. It keeps the decision's data private, and it keeps the decision itself honest, from the first question to the Outcome.

Data security answers who can see the material. Decision security answers whether the record can still be trusted once the result is known: what was decided, what it rested on, what was checked and what was not, and who accepted the risk that remained.

Why the reasoning needs protecting too.

A decision can be broken without a single file leaking.

An unverified claim presented as checked, a recommendation that passes for a decision, a record retold after the result to fit the result: none of these is a data breach, and each one breaks the decision. A board that approves on a figure nobody checked has been misled as surely as if the figure had been stolen.

A secure decisions platform treats the reasoning as something to protect, with the same care a security team gives to a system before it ships.

What to look for.

Evidence that keeps its standing.
Every material claim carries its status: supported, partly supported, unverified, or contradicted. An unverified claim is never presented as checked.
A record that is not rewritten.
Evidence keeps its provenance, the record keeps its version history, and a saved version cannot be overwritten. Every Decision Passport carries an ID and a hash that anyone holding a copy can check at argumont.com/verify.
A person who decides.
The software recommends. The person with authority makes the decision and accepts the risk that remains, and that Human Decision is kept as its own entry, apart from the Verdict.
Data kept to its owners.
Decision records are isolated by organization, server-side authorization verifies ownership, and Decision data is never used to train shared models.
Accounts that are hard to take over.
Two-step sign-in with an authenticator app, backed by recovery codes. Rate-limited sensitive endpoints, and encryption in transit and at rest.

Questions to ask any platform.

Before an organization trusts a platform with its consequential decisions, five answers are worth having in writing.

Can I see what was checked and what was not?
A Verdict that cannot show its gaps asks to be trusted on confidence alone.
Can the record change after the result is known?
If it can, the Outcome will be read against a story, not against the decision as it stood.
Who decides, the software or a person?
A recommendation and a decision are different acts, and the record should keep them apart.
Where does my Decision data go?
Ask who can read it, how it is isolated, and whether it is used to train anything.
What happens when a condition changes?
The decision should be reopened and taken through again, with the earlier record kept as it was.

How Argumont keeps both.

Argumont runs every Decision in a Decision Room built on the Secure Full-Cycle Decision Intelligence framework. The decision and its assumptions are set down before anyone argues. Champions build the strongest case for each option, the Scout brings evidence from outside the room, the Inspector marks each claim with its standing, and the Challenger finds where the leading option breaks. The Judge issues the Verdict with its conditions, and the person with authority makes the Human Decision.

The Decision Passport keeps the record: who decided, what was accepted, and what would change the answer. The controls that protect the data behind it are set out in full on the Security page.

Questions about secure decisions.

What is a secure decisions platform?
A platform where consequential decisions are made and kept that protects both the data the decision is made from and the integrity of the decision itself: what was decided, what it rested on, what was checked, and who accepted the remaining risk.
How is it different from a decision intelligence platform?
Decision intelligence brings evidence and structured challenge to a choice. A secure decisions platform also protects the result: claims keep their standing, the record is not rewritten, and the data stays with its owners.
Is my Decision data used to train models?
No. Argumont never uses your Decision data to train shared models, and Decisions are isolated by organization.
Can a saved Decision record be changed?
No. A saved version cannot be overwritten. A new fact reopens the decision, and the earlier record stays as it was.
Who makes the final decision?
A person. Argumont issues a Verdict with its conditions; the person with authority makes the Human Decision and accepts the risk that remains.
