use case

Challenge the idea you currently prefer

This workflow exists for the moment you already believe something is best. Argumont does not start from a blank brainstorm. It starts from your proposal and tries to survive falsification.

When to use it

Use this when a founder, PM, or executive already has a preferred price, market, hire, or design. The job is not to generate slogans. It is to see whether the preferred option still wins after opposition.

If you only wanted agreement, a general assistant is enough. This path is for when you need a recorded challenge.

How the work is framed

The prompt is essentially: I believe X is best. Try to defeat it. Advocate, challenger, and alternative builder start from independent positions. They do not begin by averaging each other.

You can add evidence at any time. User-provided facts are stored as user-confirmed, not silently upgraded to independently verified.

What you should leave with

Either your idea survives, a named alternative wins, or a third path appears. The verdict should explain what your idea got right even if it loses.

Example

I think we should launch at $99 per month instead of $49. Challenge this and find a better option.
